Cardiologist make an average of $270,000 a year. However some can make up to $800,000 in business partnerships. Other types of Cardiologist (see Interventional Cardiologist) can even make up to $1,000,000 a year. It takes about 14 years after high school to become a Cardiologist, including 4 years of Pre-Medical school, 4 years of Medical School, 3 years Residency in Internal Medicine, and 3 years in an Cardiology Fellowship. However, for an International Medical Gradutate, it will be another 6 years, after completing medical school in home country.
